Hizb 46

Verily Jonah is one of the apostles. 139 [Mention] when he ran away to the laden ship. 140 and sailed away in a laden ship, wherein people cast lots. Because he lost, he was thrown into the water. 141 [and they cast him into the sea,] whereupon the great fish swallowed him, for he had been blameworthy. 142 and had he not been among those who exalt (Allah), 143 He would have stayed in its belly till the day the dead are raised. 144 ۞ Then We cast him on a desert shore while he was sick; 145 and We caused a gourd tree to grow over him. 146 And [then] We sent him [once again] to [his people,] a hundred thousand [souls] or more: 147 and they believed, and We gave them enjoyment for awhile. 148 Now ask them if their Lord has daughters, and they sons? 149 Or created We the angels females while they were witnesses? 150 Unquestionably, it is out of their [invented] falsehood that they say, 151 Allah hath begotten. Allah! verily they tell a lie. 152 Hath He chosen daughters above sons? 153 What is the matter with you? How do you form your judgement? 154 Then will you not be reminded? 155 Or do you have a clear authority? 156 Then bring your book, if you are truthful. 157 They assert kinship between Him and the angels. But the angels know that they (the liars) will be arraigned (in Hell). 158 Glorified be Allah from that which they attribute (unto Him), 159 Save single-minded slaves of Allah. 160 Therefore you and all what you worship. (The disbelievers and their deities.) 161 Can mislead anyone away from Him, 162 Except such as are (themselves) going to the blazing Fire! 163 [The angels say], "There is not among us any except that he has a known position. 164 Lo! we, even we are they who set the ranks, 165 And we are they who exalt (Allah)' 166 And there were those who said, 167 "If we had a message from [those of] the former peoples, 168 Surely we would have been the bondmen of God sincere. 169 They have rejected the Quran. They will soon know the consequences (of their disbelief). 170 Already has Our Word been passed before (this) to our Servants sent (by Us), 171 That they would be helped, 172 And verily Our host! they are to be overcome. 173 So turn away (O Muhammad SAW) from them for a while, 174 And watch them (how they fare), and they soon shall see (how thou farest)! 175 What, do they seek to hasten Our punishment? 176 When it comes down on their plains, it will be an evil dawn for those who had been warned. 177 And turn thou aside from them for a season. 178 And see, for they are going to see. 179 Your Lord, the Lord of Honor, is too exalted to be considered as they describe Him. 180 Peace be on the Messengers. 181 And Praise to Allah, the Lord and Cherisher of the Worlds. 182
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
End of Surah: The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat). Sent down in Mecca after Animals (Al-An 'aam) before Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
