The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ The Beneficent (God) 1 has taught the Koran. 2 Created man, 3 and has taught him articulate speech. 4 The sun and the moon are scheduled. 5 And the plants and the trees prostrate (for Him). 6 And the skies has He raised high, and has devised [for all things] a measure, 7 That you may not be inordinate in respect of the measure. 8 And observe the weight with equity, and make not deficient the balance. 9 And He appointed the earth for the creatures. 10 Therein are fruits, date-palms producing sheathed fruit-stalks (enclosing dates). 11 And grain covered with husk, and fragrant flowers. 12 Which, then, of the benefits of your Lord, will ye twain belie? 13 He created man of clay like the potter's, 14 and He created the jinn from smokeless fire. 15 How many favours of your Lord will you then deny? 16 He is the Lord of the two easts and the Lord of the two wests. 17 Which, then, of the benefits of your Lord will ye twain belie? 18 He let forth the two seas that meet together, 19 Between them is a Barrier which they do not transgress: 20 (Jinn and mankind) - which of the favors of your Lord do you then deny? 21 From the two oceans comes pearls and coral. 22 Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny? 23 And His are the lofty ships that sail like [floating] mountains through the seas. 24 So O men and jinns! Which favour of your Lord will you deny? 25
