۞ Then I swear by the setting of the stars, 75 - which is indeed a great oath if only you knew it - 76 Most surely it is an honored Quran, 77 in a hidden Book 78 None may touch it, except with ablution. 79 a sending down from the Lord of all the Worlds. 80 What, do you hold this discourse in disdain, 81 and make it your daily bread [as it were] to call the truth a lie? 82 Why, then, when (the soul) cometh up to the throat (of the dying) 83 right before your very eyes? 84 And We are nearer to him than you are, but you cannot see. 85 Then why is it not-- if you are not held under authority-- 86 Cause ye it not to return, if ye say sooth? 87 But if he [the dying person] is one of those brought near to God, 88 then happiness and delight and Gardens of Bliss are his. 89 And if he is of those on the right hand, 90 he will be welcomed by the words: “Peace to you” from the People on the Right. 91 But, if he is of those who belied, and went astray, 92 Then an entertainment of boiling water. 93 And a hurling into the blazing fire. 94 Surely this is the truth of certainty. 95 Extol, then, the limitless glory of thy Sustainer's mighty name! 96
