The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
By the heavens and that which comes in the night -- 1 And what shall teach thee what is the night-star? 2 - The piercing Star! 3 For every soul there is a watcher. 4 So let man look - from what is he created. 5 He was created of a gushing fluid, 6 that issues from between the loins and the ribs. 7 Surely He (the Creator) has the power to bring him back (to life). 8 upon the day when the secrets are tried, 9 Then he shall have no power nor any helper. 10 By the sky with its returning rain, 11 And by oath of the earth which flourishes with it. 12 It is surely a decisive utterance; 13 not a flippant jest. 14 Indeed the disbelievers carry out their evil schemes. 15 And I plot a plot (against them). 16 Therefore grant a delay to the Unbelievers: Give respite to them gently (for awhile). 17
True are the words of God the Almighty.
End of Surah: The Comet (Al-Taareq). Sent down in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
