O YOU who have attained to faith! Seek aid in steadfast patience and prayer: for, behold, God is with those who are patient in adversity. 153 Do not say that those killed in the Way of Allah are dead, they are alive, although you are unaware. 154 And most certainly shall We try you by means of danger, and hunger, and loss of worldly goods, of lives and of [labour's] fruits. But give glad tidings unto those who are patient in adversity 155 who, when they are visited by an affliction, say, 'Surely we belong to God, and to Him we return'; 156 On such men are the blessings of God and His mercy, for they are indeed on the right path. 157 ۞ Verily! As-Safa and Al-Marwah (two mountains in Makkah) are of the Symbols of Allah. So it is not a sin on him who perform Hajj or 'Umrah (pilgrimage) of the House (the Ka'bah at Makkah) to perform the going (Tawaf) between them (As-Safa and Al-Marwah). And whoever does good voluntarily, then verily, Allah is All-Recogniser, All-Knower. 158 Those who conceal the clear (Signs) We have sent down, and the Guidance, after We have made it clear for the people in the Book,-on them shall be Allah's curse, and the curse of those entitled to curse,- 159 Except those who repent and do reform and disclose (the truth) – so I will accept their repentance; and I only am the Most Acceptor of Repentance, the Most Merciful. 160 But those who deny, and die disbelieving, bear the condemnation of God and the angels and that of all men, 161 They will abide therein (under the curse in Hell), their punishment will neither be lightened, nor will they be reprieved. 162 Your God is one God. There is no deity save Him. He is the Compassionate, the Merciful. 163
