THUS, INDEED, did We bestow Our favour upon Moses and Aaron; 114 and We saved them and their people from the awesome calamity [of bondage,] 115 We helped them, and they became victorious, 116 And We gave them the divine writ that made [right and wrong] distinct, 117 and guided them the straight way, 118 And We left for them among the later folk (the salutation): 119 "Peace be upon Moses and Aaron!" 120 Even thus do We reward the doers of good. 121 for those two were truly among Our believing servants. 122 Verily Elias is one of the apostles. 123 He said to his people, "Have you no fear [of God?] 124 "Will you call upon Ba'l (a well- known idol of his nation whom they used to worship) and forsake the Best of creators, 125 Allah, your Lord and Lord of your forefathers? 126 In response they denied him, so they will surely be brought forth as captives. 127 Except the chosen creatures of God. 128 And We let it (the beautiful praise) remain upon him in the latter (generations), 129 Peace be unto Elyasin. 130 That is how We reward those who do good. 131 Lo! he is one of our believing slaves. 132 And lo! Lot verily was of those sent (to warn). 133 We rescued him and his whole family, 134 Save an old woman among the lingerers. 135 Then We totally destroyed the others. 136 Verily, you pass by them in the morning. 137 and at night. Will you then not understand? 138
