Assuredly Allah hath succoured you on many fields, and on the day of Hunain, when your number elated you; then it availed you naught, and the earth, wide as it is, straitened unto you; then ye turned away in retreat. 25 Then Allah sent down His tranquillity upon His Apostle and upon the believers, and sent down hosts which you did not see, and chastised those who disbelieved, and that is the reward of the unbelievers. 26 Then afterward Allah will relent toward whom He will; for Allah is Forgiving, Merciful. 27 O believers, the idolaters are indeed unclean; so let them not come near the Holy Mosque after this year of theirs. If you fear poverty, God shall surely enrich you of His bounty, if He will; God is All-knowing; All-wise. 28 Fight those who believe not in Allah nor the Last Day, nor hold that forbidden which hath been forbidden by Allah and His Messenger, nor acknowledge the religion of Truth, (even if they are) of the People of the Book, until they pay the Jizya with willing submission, and feel themselves subdued. 29
