Is he whose breast God has expanded unto Islam, so he walks in a light from his Lord...? But woe to those whose hearts are hardened against the remembrance of God! Those are in manifest error. 22 Allah has sent down the best discourse, a Book, consimilar in its oftrepeated (verses) that the skins of those who fear their Lord tremble; and thereafter their skins and hearts soften to the Remembrance of Allah. Such is the Guidance of Allah, whereby He guides whosoever He will; and whosoever Allah leads astray, he has no guide. 23 So will he who will not have a shield except his own face against the wretched punishment on the Day of Resurrection, ever be equal to one who is forgiven? And it will be said to the unjust, “Taste what you have earned!” 24 Those before them denied, and punishment came upon them from where they did not perceive. 25 God gave them a taste of humiliation in the life of this world, but the punishment of the Hereafter is greater, if they only knew it. 26 We have indeed propounded for mankind all kinds of parables in this Qur'an that they may take heed. 27 [It is] an Arabic Qur'an, without any deviance that they might become righteous. 28 [To this end,] God sets forth a parable: A man who has for his masters several partners, [all of them] at variance with one another, and a man depending wholly on one person: can these two be deemed equal as regards their condition? [Nay,] all praise is due to God [alone]: but most of them do not understand this. 29 You are mortal, and they are mortal 30 Then eventually all of you will contend before your Lord on the Day of Resurrection. 31
