۞ And when a description of the son of Marium is given, lo! your people raise a clamor thereat. 57 And they said, "Are your gods better, or is he?" They did not present the comparison except for [mere] argument. But, [in fact], they are a people prone to dispute. 58 Jesus was a servant of Ours to whom We had granted favors and whom We made as an example for the Israelites. 59 if We had so wished, We could have appointed angels in exchange for you to succeed you on the earth. 60 It is the knowledge of the Hour. Have no doubt concerning it, and follow me. This is a Straight Path, 61 Let satan not prevent you from the right path. He is your sworn enemy". 62 And when Isa came with clear arguments he said: I have come to you indeed with wisdom, and that I may make clear to you part of what you differ in; so be careful of (your duty to) Allah and obey me: 63 Verily Allah! He is my lord and your Lord, so worship Him: this is the straight path. 64 But the parties among them fell into variance; so woe unto those who did evil, because of the chastisement of a painful day. 65 They await but the Hour: that it should come upon them of a sudden, while they perceive not. 66 All intimate friends on that day will become each others enemies except for the pious, 67
