Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
By the winds sent forth with beneficence. 1 storming tempestuously 2 And [by] the winds that spread [clouds] 3 Then by those that clearly differentiate the right and wrong. 4 and by those who reveal revelations (to the prophets) 5 [promising] freedom from blame or [offering] a warning! 6 Indeed, what you are promised is to occur. 7 So when stars are effaced. 8 And when the heaven is cloven asunder. 9 when the mountains shall be scattered 10 and when all the apostles are called together at a time appointed... 11 For what Day are these (portents) deferred? 12 Upon the Day of Decision! 13 And what will make you comprehend what the day of decision is? 14 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 15 Did We not destroy the ancients? 16 Then did We follow them up with later ones. 17 Thus do We deal with men of sin. 18 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 19 Did We not create you from an abject fluid? 20 then placed it in a secure repository [the womb], 21 Till a limit known? 22 So We proportion it-- how well are We at proportioning (things). 23 Ah woe, that Day! to the Rejecters of Truth! 24 Made We not the earth to be a housing 25 For the living and the dead. 26 And We placed therein lofty, firmly set mountains and have given you to drink sweet water. 27 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 28 Proceed to that which you denied. 29 "Depart you to a shadow (of Hell-fire smoke ascending) in three columns, 30 Neither shading nor availing against the flame. 31 Lo! it throweth up sparks like the castles, 32 So like golden camels." 33 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 34 This is a day in which they will not be able to speak. 35 nor shall they be given permission, so that they can apologize. 36 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 37 This is the Day of Decision, We have brought you and the men of old together. 38 If you now have any conspiracy, carry it out on Me. 39 Woe on the day unto the beliers! 40
