Tell also of Moses in the Book. He was indeed a chosen one, and was a messenger and a prophet. 51 We called out to him from the right side of the Mount, and We drew him near to Us by communing to him in secret, 52 And We bestowed on him his brother Harun (Aaron), (also) a Prophet, out of Our Mercy. 53 And mention thou in the Book lsma'il; verily he was true in promise, and was apostle, prophet. 54 He exhorted his people to prayer and almsgiving, and his Lord was pleased with him. 55 AND CALL to mind, through this divine writ, Idris. Behold, he was a man of truth, a prophet, 56 And We raised him to a lofty station. 57 These are they unto whom Allah showed favour from among the prophets, of the seed of Adam and of those whom We carried (in the ship) with Noah, and of the seed of Abraham and Israel, and from among those whom We guided and chose. When the revelations of the Beneficent were recited unto them, they fell down, adoring and weeping. ۩ 58 ۞ But the generation that succeeded them wasted their prayers and followed their desires, so they shall encounter error 59 Excepted, however, shall be those who repent and attain to faith and do righteous deeds: for it is they who will enter paradise and will not be wronged in any way: 60 Theirs shall be the Gardens of Eden, which the All Merciful has promised to His servants without their having seen them, and most surely His promise shall be fulfilled. 61 They shall not hear in it anything vain; they shall hear only what is good; and they shall have their provision in it, morning and evening. 62 This is the garden which We cause those of Our servants to inherit who guard (against evil). 63 (Muhammad), we (the angels) do not come to you without being commanded by your Lord to do so. To Him belongs all that is before us, behind us, and in between. Your Lord is not forgetful. 64 Lord of the heavens and the earth and all that lies between them. Therefore worship Him, and be constant in His worship. Do you know any namesake of His? 65
