۞ AND [there came a time when] We inspired Moses thus: "Go forth with My servants by night: for, behold, you will be pursued!" 52 And Pharaoh sent heralds unto all cities, 53 [And said], "Indeed, those are but a small band, 54 "And verily, they have done what has enraged us; 55 And lo! we are a ready host. 56 We therefore got them out from the gardens and water springs. 57 their treasures and a noble station. 58 As such we gave it to the Children of Israel. 59 Pharaoh and his people pursued them at sunrise, 60 and when the groups came face to face, the companions of Moses cried out: "We are overtaken!" 61 Moses said, "Certainly not. My Lord is with me and He will certainly guide me." 62 Then We inspired Musa (Moses) (saying): "Strike the sea with your stick." And it parted, and each separate part (of that sea water) became like the huge, firm mass of a mountain. 63 We also brought the other party close to the same spot, 64 We delivered Moses and every one with him, 65 then We drowned the others. 66 Verily! In this is indeed a sign (or a proof), yet most of them are not believers. 67 And indeed, your Lord - He is the Exalted in Might, the Merciful. 68
