[O Men!] Are you more difficult to create than the heaven which He has built, 27 and raised its vault high and proportioned it; 28 and He has made dark its night and brought forth its light of day. 29 and the earth-after that He spread it out, 30 And he brought forth therefrom its water, and its pasture. 31 And He made fast the hills, 32 A provision for you and your cattle. 33 Then, when the Great Catastrophe comes 34 on the Day when man will recall all his strivings, 35 and Hell is there for all to see, 36 Then as for him who waxed exorbitant, 37 and preferred the life of this world [to the good of his soul,] 38 Then surely the hell, that is the abode. 39 And for one who feared to stand before his Lord and restrained his soul from desire, 40 Will surely have Paradise for abode. 41 They ask thee of the Hour: when will it come to port? 42 Wherein art thou concerned with the declaration thereof! 43 Your Lord alone knows when it will come; 44 You are only a warner for those who fear it. 45 On the day that they see it, it will be as though they had not tarried but the latter part of a day or the early part of it. 46
