The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
When the sun is wound up; 1 And when the stars darken, 2 And when the mountains are made to pass away, 3 And when full-term she-camels are neglected 4 And when the wild beasts are gathered 5 when the seas are set boiling, 6 when the souls shall be rejoined (with their bodies), 7 When the female (infant), buried alive, is questioned - 8 For what crime she was killed; 9 And when the books are spread, 10 And when the heaven is torn away. 11 when Hell is set ablaze, 12 And when Paradise shall be brought near, 13 [on that Day] every human being will come to know what he has prepared [for himself]. 14 No! I swear by the slinkers, 15 Go straight, or hide; 16 The closing night, 17 And the morning when it brightens, 18 that the Quran is the word of the honorable angelic, mighty Messenger 19 [Who is] possessed of power and with the Owner of the Throne, secure [in position], 20 Obeyed there [in the heavens] and trustworthy. 21 And your companion is not [at all] mad. 22 He had surely seen Him on the clear horizon. 23 Neither doth he withhold grudgingly a knowledge of the Unseen. 24 The Quran is not the word of condemned satan. 25 Whither then go ye? 26 Verily this is no less than a Message to (all) the Worlds: 27 (With profit) to whoever among you wills to go straight: 28 And what will you wish, except if Allah wills – the Lord of the Creation. 29
