The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ Triumphant indeed are the believers, 1 those who humble themselves in their prayer, 2 who turn away from idle talk; 3 and at almsgiving are active 4 and who are mindful of their chastity, 5 Except from their wives or those their right hands possess, for indeed, they will not be blamed - 6 As for those who seek beyond that, they are transgressors" 7 And those who are keepers of their trusts and their covenant, 8 And those who keep a guard on their prayers; 9 These are they who are the heirs, 10 who will inherit Paradise; they shall live there for ever. 11 Indeed We created man from a chosen soil. 12 Then We placed him as a sperm in a firmly established lodging; 13 Then We fashioned the sperm into an embryo, then fashioned the embryo into a shapeless lump of flesh; then from the lump of flesh We fashioned bones, then clothed the bones with flesh. Thus We formed him into a new creation. So blessed be God the best of Creators. 14 And then, behold! after all this, you are destined to die; 15 Then surely on the day of resurrection you shall be raised. 16 And assuredly We created above you seven paths, and of the creation We have not been neglectful. 17 We sent down water from the sky in due measure, and lodged it in the earth, and We are able to take it all away. 18 Then We cause to grow thereby gardens of palm trees and grapes for you; you have in them many fruits and from them do you eat; 19 Also, a tree which grows on the Tor of Sinai and gives oil and relish for its eaters. 20 And in cattle (too) ye have an instructive example: from within their bodies We produce (milk) for you to drink; there are, in them, (besides), numerous (other) benefits for you; and of their (meat) ye eat; 21 And on them and on the ships you are borne. 22
