Hizb 46

Jonah was certainly a Messenger. 139 He fled to the overloaded ship. 140 and cast lots, and he was among the losers (of the lots that were cast). 141 [and they cast him into the sea,] whereupon the great fish swallowed him, for he had been blameworthy. 142 And had he not been of those who [even in the deep darkness of their distress are able to] extol God's limitless glory, 143 he would certainly have remained inside the fish till the Day of Resurrection. 144 ۞ Then We cast him on to the vacant surface of the earth while he was sick. 145 And We caused to grow up for him a gourdplant. 146 Then We sent him to a hundred thousand or more, 147 So they accepted faith We therefore gave them usage for a while. 148 AND NOW ask them to enlighten thee: Has thy Sustainer daughters, whereas they would have [only] sons? 149 Or did We create the angels females while they were witnesses? 150 Verily, it is of their falsehood that they (Quraish pagans) say: 151 “Allah has begotten.” They are liars! 152 (And again of their falsehood): He hath preferred daughters to sons. 153 What is the matter with you? How judge ye? 154 Will ye not then receive admonition? 155 Or have ye a clear warrant? 156 Then produce your writ, if ye are truthful. 157 They assert kinship between Him and the angels. But the angels know that they (the liars) will be arraigned (in Hell). 158 Exalted is Allah above what they describe, 159 Except His chosen creatures who do not. 160 Wherefore verily neither ye nor that which ye worship, 161 you shall tempt none against Him 162 except him who shall roast in Hell. 163 And the angels say, “Each one of us has an appointed known position.” 164 we are the rangers, 165 And indeed, we are those who exalt Allah." 166 And indeed the disbelievers used to say, 167 'If only we had a reminder from the ancients, 168 We would certainly have been the servants of Allah-- the purified ones. 169 But they disbelieved in it, so they are going to know. 170 Our word had already been given before to Our votaries, the apostles, -- 171 That they verily would be made triumphant. 172 and that Our hosts shall triumph. 173 So, (O Prophet), leave them alone for a while, 174 Watch them: they will soon see. 175 Do they want to hasten Our punishment? 176 But when it cometh home to them, then it will be a hapless morn for those who have been warned. 177 And leave them for a time. 178 and watch. They, too, will watch. 179 Your Lord, the Lord of Honor, is too exalted to be considered as they describe Him. 180 And peace be on the apostles. 181 And praise belongs to Allah, Lord of the Worlds. 182
God the Almighty always says the truth.
End of Surah: The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat). Sent down in Mecca after Animals (Al-An 'aam) before Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
