Al-Dukhaan 2 of 3

Thus did We deliver the Children of Israel from the humiliating chastisement, 30 at the hands of Pharaoh: he was a tyrant who exceeded all bounds. 31 And We chose them aforetime above the nations, knowingly, 32 and gave them signs wherein there was a manifest trial. 33 Indeed, these [disbelievers] are saying, 34 "There is no dying for us but once; and we shall not be raised again. 35 So bring our fathers (back), if you are truthful. 36 Are they better than the people of Tubba, and those who had lived before them, whom We destroyed as they were sinners? 37 We have not created the heavens and the earth and all that is between them for Our own amusement. 38 We did not create them both but with the truth, but most of them do not know. 39 Truly, the Day of Decision is the appointed time for all of them, 40 On that Day no cousin shall help his cousin and they shall not be helped 41 save him upon whom God has mercy; He is the All-mighty, the All-compassionate. 42
