The All High (Al-A'alaa)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ Glorify the name of your Lord, the Most High, 1 Who creates and proportions, 2 and who determines the nature [of all that exists,] and thereupon guides it [towards its fulfilment,] 3 And Who bringeth out the (green and luscious) pasture, 4 Then maketh it to stubble dusky. 5 By degrees shall We teach thee to declare (the Message), so thou shalt not forget, 6 except what Allah wills, surely, He knows all that is (spoken) aloud and what is hidden. 7 And We shall ease thy way unto the state of ease. 8 So render good counsel if good counsel will avail. 9 He will heed who feareth, 10 but the most wretched shall avoid it, 11 He who will be flung to the great Fire 12 then he shall neither die therein, nor live. 13 But those will prosper who purify themselves, 14 And recites the name of his Lord and serves with devotion. 15 Nay, but you prefer the present life; 16 Though the life to come is better and abiding. 17 Verily! This is in the former Scriptures, 18 In the Books of Ibrahim and Moosa. 19
