Al-Waaqe'ah 2 of 3
A multitude of those (on the Right Hand) will be from the first generation (who embraced Islam). 39 And a (goodly) number from those of later times. 40 BUT AS FOR those who have persevered in evil - what of those who have persevered in evil? 41 In hot wind and boiling water, 42 And shadow of black smoke, 43 Neither cool nor agreeable. 44 For that they were wont to be indulged, before that, in wealth (and luxury), 45 And they persisted in the great violation. 46 and they used to say, "What! After we have died and become dust and bones, shall we indeed be raised up again? 47 Will our ancient forefathers be resurrected too? 48 Say (unto them, O Muhammad): Lo! those of old and those of later time 49 Shall most surely be gathered together for the appointed hour of a known day. 50 Then verily ye, O ye erring, denying people. 51 You will indeed eat from the Zaqqum tree. 52 filling your bellies, with it 53 and will thereupon have to drink [many a draught] of burning despair 54 Drinking the way thirsty camels drink. 55 Such will be their welcome on Judgment Day! 56 We created you; therefore why will you not believe? 57 Have you considered the seed you spill? 58 Is it you who creates it, or are We the Creator? 59 We mete out death among you, and We are not to be outrun, 60 in replacing you with another creation like you, changing you into a form which you do not know. 61 You have certainly known the first creation. Why, then, do you not take heed? 62 So what is your opinion regarding what you sow? 63 Is it you who cause them to grow or do We? 64 If We will We can make it like dry trampled hay, so you would keep crying out. 65 [Saying], "Indeed, we are [now] in debt; 66 Rather, we have been prevented' 67 Have you thought about the water you drink? 68 Did you send it down from the clouds, or did We send it? 69 Did We will, We would make it bitter; so why are you not thankful? 70 Did you consider the fire which you kindle? 71 Produce ye the tree thereof, or are We the Producer? 72 We have made it a Reminder (for the Hell-fire, in the Hereafter); and an article of use for the travellers (and all the others, in this world). 73 Then celebrate with praises the name of thy Lord, the Supreme! 74

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
