Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
By the loosed ones successively 1 Which then blow violently in tempestuous Gusts, 2 And by the winds that scatter clouds and rain; 3 And those that distinguish distinctly, 4 and by those who reveal revelations (to the prophets) 5 To excuse or to warn, 6 Surely what you are promised shall come to pass. 7 Then when the stars become dim; 8 and when the sky is rent asunder, 9 And when the mountains are blown away, 10 And when the messengers' time has come... 11 To which Day has this task been deferred? 12 Upon the Day of Decision! 13 What will explain to you what the Day of Judgement is? 14 Woe on that day unto the beliers 15 Did We not destroy the ancients 16 So shall We make later generations to follow them. 17 As such shall We deal with the sinners. 18 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 19 Did We not create you out of a humble fluid 20 which We then placed in a secure repository 21 until an appointed time? 22 See that We had the power to do so. Great indeed is Our power to do what We will. 23 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 24 Have We not caused the earth to hold within itself 25 for the living and the dead? 26 And made therein lofty mountains, and given you to drink of sweet water? 27 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 28 Walk on to that which you called a lie. 29 “Move towards the shadow of the smoke having three branches.” 30 [But having] no cool shade and availing not against the flame." 31 Verily! It (Hell) throws sparks (huge) as Al-Qasr [a fort or a Qasr (huge log of wood)], 32 which seem as though they are yellow-coloured camels. 33 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 34 On that Day they will be speechless, 35 Nor will they be given permission to present excuses. 36 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 37 This is the Day of Judgement. We have assembled you all together with past generations. 38 if you have a trick, try you now to trick Me!' 39 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 40
