Overwhelming (Al-Ghaasheyah)
26 verses, revealed in Mecca after Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat) before The Cave (Al-Kahf)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
Hath there come unto thee the story of the Enveloping Event? 1 Some faces, that Day, will be humiliated, 2 Travailing, worn. 3 Scorched by burning fire, 4 given to drink from a boiling spring. 5 They will have no food other than bitter and thorny fruit 6 Which will neither fatten nor avail against hunger. 7 [Other] faces, that Day, will show pleasure. 8 and pleased with the result of their deeds in the past. 9 In a high Garden 10 They shall hear therein no vain discourse; 11 with a flowing spring, 12 Within it are couches raised high 13 Goblets placed (ready), 14 And arranged carpets. 15 and carpets spread out. 16 Will they not then consider the camels, how they are created? 17 And how the heaven was raised up, 18 and how the mountains were firmly fixed? 19 And at the earth, how it is spread out? 20 So, [O Prophet] exhort them: your task is only to exhort, 21 Thou art not over them a warden. 22 Save the one who turns away and disbelieves 23 Then Allah will punish him with the greatest punishment. 24 for behold, unto Us will be their return, 25 Then indeed, upon Us is their account. 26
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
