and We delivered the Children of Israel from the humbling chastisement, 30 from Pharaoh; surely he was a high One, of the prodigals; 31 And We knowingly chose them, among all others of their time. 32 And We gave them of the communications wherein was clear blessing. 33 Indeed, these [disbelievers] are saying, 34 "There is nothing but our first death, and we shall not be resurrected. 35 So bring our fathers (back), if you are truthful. 36 Are they better or the people of Tubba' and those before them? We destroyed them because they were indeed Mujrimun (disbelievers, polytheists, sinners, criminals, etc.). 37 We have not created the heavens and the earth and all that is between them for Our own amusement. 38 We created them not except for just ends: but most of them do not understand. 39 Assuredly the Day of Decision is the term for all of them, 40 The Day when Maulan (a near relative) cannot avail Maulan (a near relative) in aught, and no help can they receive, 41 except those to whom Allah shows mercy. He is the Most Mighty, the Most Compassionate. 42
