Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the scatterers (the wind) scattering, 1 And those [clouds] carrying a load [of water] 2 And those [ships] sailing with ease 3 Then by oath of those which distribute by the command. 4 indeed, that which you are promised is true, 5 and surely the Doom is about to fall! 6 By heaven with all its tracks 7 surely you are at variance (about the Hereafter); 8 He is made to turn away from it who is (himself) averse. 9 Perish the conjecturers 10 who are steeped in ignorance and heedlessness. 11 They ask; "When will be the Day of Recompense?" 12 [It will be] a Day when they will be sorely tried by the fire, 13 and will be told, "Suffer the torment which you wanted to experience immediately". 14 As for the God-fearing, they shall be in the midst of gardens and fountains, 15 receiving what their Lord will give them because before this they were gooddoers. 16 Little of the night would they slumber, 17 And ere the dawning of each day would seek forgiveness, 18 And in their property was a portion due to him who begs and to him who is denied (good). 19 And in the earth there are signs for those who are sure, 20 And within yourselves. Can you not perceive? 21 And in heaven is your provision, and that you are promised. 22 This, by the Lord of the heavens and the earth is as certain as your ability to speak. 23
