Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

The mutual rivalry for piling up (the good things of this world) diverts you (from the more serious things), 1 until you come to the graves. 2 Lo! presently ye shall know. 3 nay, again, you shall soon come to know. 4 Indeed, were you to know the truth with certainty, 5 You will surely end up seeing Hell; 6 Then you will surely see it with the eye of certainty. 7 Then on that Day you shall be questioned about your worldly favours. 8

God the Almighty always says the truth.
