(Muhammad), tell them, "People, I am giving you a clear warning. 49 "Those who believe and work righteousness, for them is forgiveness and a sustenance most generous. 50 Whereas those who strive against Our signs, seeking to defeat their purpose, shall be the inmates of the Fire. 51 We sent not ever any Messenger or Prophet before thee, but that Satan cast into his fancy, when he was fancying; but God annuls what Satan casts, then God confirms His signs -- surely God is All-knowing, All-wise -- 52 That he may make that which the Satan casteth forth a temptation for those in whose heart is a disease and whose hearts are hardened - and the wrong-doers are in divergence far-off 53 And so those who were given knowledge may know that it is the truth from your Lord and [therefore] believe in it, and their hearts humbly submit to it. And indeed is Allah the Guide of those who have believed to a straight path. 54 Those who deny the truth will continue in doubt until the [Last] Hour suddenly comes upon them or the scourge of the woeful Day descends upon them. 55 On that Day, all dominion shall [visibly] belong to God, He shall judge [all men and make a distinction] between them: thus, all who had attained to faith and did righteous deeds shall find themselves in gardens of bliss, 56 A humiliating chastisement awaits those who disbelieved and denied Our Signs. 57
