Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful

Gross rivalry diverts you, 1 Until you visit the graves (i.e. till you die). 2 No! You are going to know. 3 Again, no indeed, you shall soon know. 4 Yes certainly, if you had believed with certainty, you would not have craved for wealth. 5 You will be shown hell 6 Then you shall most certainly see it with the eye of certainty; 7 On that Day, you shall be questioned about the pleasures. 8

True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
