Verily the God-fearing shall be amidst gardens and springs. 45 "Enter in peace and tranquility," (they will be told). 46 And [by then] We shall have removed whatever unworthy thoughts or feelings may have been [lingering] in their breasts, [and they shall rest] as brethren, facing one another [in love] upon thrones of happiness. 47 Toil cometh not unto them there, nor will they be expelled from thence. 48 ۞ Declare thou unto My bondmen: verily I! I am the Forgiver, the Merciful. 49 and that My punishment is the painful chastisement. 50 And inform them about the guests of Abraham, 51 [how,] when they presented themselves before him and bade him peace, he answered: "Behold, we are afraid of you!" 52 'Do not be afraid' they answered. 'We come to give you glad tidings of a knowledgeable child' 53 He said: bear ye me glad tidings when old age hath touched me? of what then ye bear me glad tidings? 54 They said: we bear tidings of a truth; be then thou not of the desponding. 55 He said, "No one despairs of the mercy of his Lord except those who are in error. 56 He said: What is your business then, O apostles? 57 They said, "We are sent to a sinful people. 58 “Except the family of Lut; we shall rescue all of them.” 59 Except his wife; We ordained that she shall surely be of those who remain behind. 60
