Moses said: "Lord! Open my breast for me; 25 Make my task easy 26 and loosen the knot from my tongue 27 That they may understand my speech, 28 Appoint a deputy (for me) from my own people. 29 “That is Haroon, my brother.” 30 Add Thou through him to my strength, 31 and let him share my task 32 So shall we glorify Thee, 33 and remember Thee without cease! 34 You are surely watching over us. 35 He said, “O Moosa, you have been granted your prayer.” 36 And certainly We bestowed on you a favor at another time; 37 When We told your mother what We relate: 38 “That, ‘Put him into a chest and cast it into the river, so the river shall deposit it on to a shore – therefore one who is an enemy to Me and you, shall pick him up’; and I bestowed upon you love from Myself; and for you to be brought up in My sight.” 39 When thy sister went and said: Shall I show you one who will nurse him? and we restored thee to thy mother that her eyes might be refreshed and might not sorrow. And thou didst kill a man and We delivered thee from great distress, and tried thee with a heavy trial. And thou didst tarry years among the folk of Midian. Then camest thou (hither) by (My) providence, O Moses, 40 And I produced you for Myself. 41 Go thou and thy brother with My signs, and slacken not in remembrance of Mine. 42 go forth, both of you, unto Pharaoh: for, verily, he has transgressed all bounds of equity! 43 "But speak to him mildly; perchance he may take warning or fear (Allah)." 44 They both submitted, “Our Lord – indeed we fear that he may oppress us or deal mischievously.” 45 (The Lord) said: "Be not afraid. I am verily with you, and I hear and see. 46 So go to him and say: 'The two of us have indeed been sent by your Lord. So let the children of Israel come with us, and do not oppress them. We have come to you with a token from your Lord. Peace on him who follows the way of guidance. 47 'Truly, it has been revealed to us that the torment will be for him who denies [believes not in the Oneness of Allah, and in His Messengers, etc.], and turns away.'(from the truth and obedience of Allah)" 48 [Pharaoh] said, "So who is the Lord of you two, O Moses?" 49 (Moses) said: "Our Lord is He who gave everything its natural form and directed it." 50 Pharaoh asked: "Then, what is the state of the former generations?" 51 Moses replied, "The knowledge about it is with my Lord in the Book. My Lord is free from error and forgetfulness. 52 It is He who made the earth a bed for you, and traced for you paths upon it, and sends down water from the sky, and brings out through it every kind of vegetation 53 Eat and pasture your cattle; most surely there are signs in this for those endowed with understanding. 54
