Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ By the Day of Resurrection, 1 and by the self accusing soul (that you will certainly be resurrected). 2 Does man assume that We will never assemble his bones? 3 Yea indeed, We are able to make whole his very finger-tips! 4 Nay! (Man denies Resurrection and Reckoning. So) he desires to continue committing sins. 5 asking [derisively,] "When is that Resurrection Day to be?" 6 But when sight is confounded 7 the moon eclipsed. 8 And sun and moon are united, 9 Man shall say on that day: Whither to fly to? 10 No, there shall be no (place of) refuge. 11 On that day, the station is only towards your Lord. 12 Upon that day man shall be told his former deeds and his latter; 13 But lo, man is well aware of himself, 14 in spite of all the excuses he may offer. 15 Do not move your tongue with it to make haste with it, 16 We shall be responsible for its collection and its recitation. 17 And when We have recited it to you [O Muhammad SAW through Jibrael (Gabriel)], then follow you its (the Quran's) recital. 18 Nay more, it is for Us to explain it (and make it clear): 19 None except you, O disbelievers – you love what you have, the fleeting one. 20 and give no thought to the life to come [and to Judgment Day]! 21 Some faces will be radiant on that Day, 22 Looking toward their Lord. 23 and some faces will on that Day be overcast with despair, 24 dreading some great affliction. 25 Some people, certainly, do not believe in it, but when a person's soul reaches up to his throat 26 And it is asked: "Is there any reciter of charms and amulets?" 27 He will then realise it is the parting, 28 And affliction is combined with affliction; 29 On that Day you will be driven to your Lord. 30
