The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
By the heaven, and the night-visitor, 1 How will you comprehend what the night star is? 2 The star of piercing brightness; 3 [for] no human being has been left unguarded. 4 LET MAN, then, observe out of what he has been created: 5 He was created of spurting water 6 emanating from between the loins and the ribs. 7 He certainly has the power to bring him back to life. 8 On the day when hidden thoughts shall be searched out. 9 Then will (man) have no power, nor any helper. 10 By the sky with its returning rain, 11 by the earth cracking open with new growth. 12 Verily! This (the Quran) is the Word that separates (the truth from falsehood, and commands strict legal laws for mankind to cut the roots of evil). 13 and it is certainly not a jest. 14 Indeed the disbelievers carry out their evil schemes. 15 And I am planning a scheme. 16 So bear with unbelievers with patience, and give them respite for a while. 17
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
End of Surah: The Comet (Al-Taareq). Sent down in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
