Hizb 28
< random >
۞ Allah says: 'Do not take to yourself two gods. He is only One God; so have awe of Me' 51 To Him belongs whatsoever is in the heavens and on the earth, and obedience is due to Him alone. Will you then fear anyone other than God? 52 And whatever you have of favor - it is from Allah. Then when adversity touches you, to Him you cry for help. 53 Then when He removes the adversity from you, at once a party of you associates others with their Lord 54 [as if] to prove their ingratitude for all that We have granted them! Enjoy, then, your [brief] life: but in time you will come to know [the truth]! 55 They set aside a portion of the food We have given them for those they do not know. By God, you will surely have to answer for all you contrive! 56 And they assign to God daughters; glory be to Him! -- and they have their desire; 57 When news is brought to one of them, of (the birth of) a female (child), his face darkens, and he is filled with inward grief! 58 And hides from people for shame at the news, (at a loss) whether he should keep her with shame, or bury her in the ground. How bad is the judgement that they make! 59 For those who believe not in the Hereafter is an evil similitude, and for Allah is the sublime similitude, and He is the Mighty, the Wise. 60
