And [mention] when your Lord called Moses, [saying], "Go to the wrongdoing people - 10 The people of Fir'awn; fear they Me not? 11 He answered: "O my Sustainer! Behold, I fear that they will give me the lie, 12 And my breast straitens, and my tongue is not eloquent, therefore send Thou to Haroun (to help me); 13 They hold a sin against me, and I fear that they will kill me' 14 Said He, 'No indeed; but go, both of you, with Our signs, and We assuredly shall be with you, listening. 15 "And when you both come to Fir'aun (Pharaoh), say: 'We are the Messengers of the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists), 16 [Commanded to say], "Send with us the Children of Israel."'" 17 (Pharaoh) said: "Did we not cherish thee as a child among us, and didst thou not stay in our midst many years of thy life? 18 Yet you were ungrateful and have done the deed you did' 19 He said: I did it then, when I was of those who are astray. 20 so I fled from you, fearing you. But my Lord gave me Judgment and made me one of the Envoys. 21 “And is this some great reward for which you express favour upon me – that you have enslaved the Descendants of Israel?” 22 Pharaoh said: 'And what is the Lord of the Worlds' 23 He said: The Lord of the heavens and the earth and what is between them, if you would be sure. 24 Pharaoh said to those around him, "Did you hear?" 25 Moses went on, "He is your Lord and the Lord of your forefathers." 26 (Pharaoh) said: 'Surely, the Messenger who has been sent to you is mad!' 27 (Moses) said: "Lord of the East and the West, and all between! if ye only had sense!" 28 'If you take any other god except myself' he (Pharaoh) replied, 'you shall be thrown into prison' 29 'What, even if I brought you something clear' said he (Moses). 30 Pharaoh said, "Show it then, if you are telling the truth!" 31 He cast down his staff and thereupon it was a clear serpent. 32 and he drew his hand (out of his armpit) and lo! it had become a shining object to the beholders. 33
