Hizb 46
< random >
And indeed, Jonah was among the messengers. 139 when he ran away to the laden ship 140 and cast lots, and was of the rebutted, 141 and the fish swallowed him while he was blaming himself. 142 and had he not been among those who exalt (Allah), 143 he would indeed have remained in its belly till the Day when all shall be raised from the dead: 144 ۞ We then put him ashore on a plain, and he was sick. 145 and We caused a gourd tree to grow over him. 146 And We sent him (on a mission) to a hundred thousand (men) or more. 147 And they believed, so We gave them provision till a time. 148 (Muhammad), ask them, "Do daughters belong to your Lord and sons to them? 149 Or, did We create the angels females while they were witnessing? 150 Behold, it is one of their fabrications that they say: 151 " Allah has begotten," and indeed, they are liars. 152 Has He (then) chosen daughters rather than sons? 153 What aileth you? How judge ye? 154 Will you not then mind? 155 Do you have clear authority? 156 Produce, then, that divine writ of yours, if you are speaking the truth! 157 They have said that there is a relationship between Him and the jinn. The jinn certainly know that they will all be brought to suffer torment. 158 Hallowed be Allah from that which they ascribe to Him. 159 Except the bondmen of Allah sincere. 160 Wherefore verily neither ye nor that which ye worship, 161 You cannot make anyone rebel against Him. 162 Except those who are predestined to burn in Hell! 163 None of us is there, but has a known station; 164 and, verily, we too are ranged [before Him in worship]; 165 and we are of those who glorify Allah.” 166 What, would they then say: 167 "If only we had had before us a Message from those of old, 168 we would certainly be true servants of God." 169 But they disbelieve in it (the Koran), but soon they shall know! 170 Already has Our Word been passed before (this) to our Servants sent (by Us), 171 that they shall receive Our help 172 And most surely Our host alone shall be the victorious ones. 173 So, [O Muhammad], leave them for a time. 174 And watch them, for they will soon see. 175 Do they seek to hasten Our chastisement? 176 But when it cometh home to them, then it will be a hapless morn for those who have been warned. 177 And turn away from them till a time 178 And watch, for they will (soon) see. 179 Glory be to your Lord, the Lord of Honor, above what they describe. 180 And peace be unto those sent (to warn). 181 and all praise be to Allah, the Lord of the Universe. 182
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
End of Surah: The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat). Sent down in Mecca after Animals (Al-An 'aam) before Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
