۞ But We shall say, "Assemble those who did wrong together with their associates and what they worshipped 22 “Instead of Allah – and herd them to the path leading to hell.” 23 And stop them; verily they are to be questioned: 24 'But what is the matter with you that you cannot help one another?,'" 25 No indeed; but today they resign themselves in submission 26 And they will approach one another blaming each other. 27 They will say: "It was ye who used to come to us from the right hand (of power and authority)!" 28 They answer: Nay, but ye (yourselves) were not believers. 29 We had no power over you. In fact, you were a people rebellious. 30 The sentence of our Lord has come true for us. We have certainly to taste (the punishment), 31 So we led you astray; we ourselves were strayed.” 32 So indeed they, that Day, will be sharing in the punishment. 33 Even so We do with the sinners; 34 for, behold, whenever they were told, "There is no deity save God," they would glory in their arrogance 35 and said: 'Are we to renounce our gods for the sake of a mad poet' 36 Not in the least. He has brought the truth and confirmed the other messengers. 37 You will indeed taste a painful punishment, 38 but you shall not be recompensed except for what you were doing. 39 But the sincere servants of God 40 shall have a known provision -- 41 Fruits (Delights); and they (shall enjoy) honour and dignity, 42 In gardens of pleasure 43 They will be seated upon couches set face to face; 44 a cup filled with wine from its springs, will be passed around to them; 45 white, sparkling (wine), a delight to the drinkers. 46 Neither they will have Ghoul (any kind of hurt, abdominal pain, headache, a sin, etc.) from that, nor will they suffer intoxication therefrom. 47 And with them shall be damsels of refraining looks, large-eyed 48 Like sheltered eggs in a nest. 49 Then one turned to the other in an enquiry. 50 A speaker from among them shall say: Surely I had a comrade of mine, 51 who used to say: -- Are you also one of those who confirm the Truth (of life after death)? 52 Shall we be recompensed for our deeds after we die and become bones and dust? 53 Then he will say, "Shall we look for him?" 54 He will look down and see him in hell. 55 He shall say: By Allah! you had almost caused me to perish; 56 But for my Lord's blessing, I were one of the arraigned. 57 Are we then not to die 58 Save our first death, and are we not to be tormented? 59 Indeed, this is the mighty victory, 60 For such a reward should the workers perform. 61 Is that better by way of hospitality or the Zaqqum tree, 62 which We have made as a test for the wrongdoers. 63 For it is a tree that springs out of the bottom of Hellfire: 64 and its fruits are like the heads of devils. 65 Truly, they will eat thereof and fill their bellies therewith. 66 then in addition to it they shall have a draught of boiling water to drink; 67 Then their return will be to the same blazing Hell. 68 They found their fathers had gone astray; 69 and they are running in their footsteps. 70 And there had already strayed before them most of the former peoples, 71 although, verily, We had sent warners unto them: 72 Then see the nature of the consequence for those warned, 73 Save the bondmen of Allah sincere. 74
