Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ When the sky breaks apart 1 the stars are dispersed, 2 And when the seas are made to flow forth, 3 And the sepulchres are overturned, 4 Each soul shall know that which it sent afore and that which it left behind. 5 O man! What has deceived you about your generous Lord 6 Who created you, fashioned you perfectly, and gave you due proportion; 7 and composed thee after what form He would? 8 Rather, you belied the Recompense. 9 And indeed, [appointed] over you are keepers, 10 Illustrious scribes 11 who know all that you do: 12 Surely the pious shall be in bliss, 13 And most surely the wicked are in burning fire, 14 They will enter it on the Day of Justice. 15 And thence they shall not be allowed to be absent. 16 And what will make you realize what the day of judgment is? 17 How then can you comprehend what the Day of Judgement is? 18 It is the Day when no one shall have the power to do anything for another, and all command shall be Allah's. 19
True are the words of God the Almighty.
