The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ (Muhammad), glorify the Name of your lord, the Most High, 1 who created and shaped, 2 And who destined and [then] guided 3 who brings forth green pasture, 4 And then doth make it (but) swarthy stubble. 5 We shall now make you read (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him), so you will not forget. 6 except what Allah should wish. He knows all that is manifest and all that is hidden. 7 We shall ease you to the easy. 8 So remind them if reminder is profitable: 9 Admonished is he indeed who feareth, 10 But the wretched one will avoid it - 11 Who will burn in the terrible Fire, 12 then he shall neither die therein, nor live. 13 He who purifies himself, 14 And recites the name of his Lord and serves with devotion. 15 No; but you prefer the present life, 16 whereas the Hereafter is better and more enduring. 17 Verily this is in Writs ancient 18 the Scrolls of Abraham and Moses. 19
