Overwhelming (Al-Ghaasheyah)
26 verses, revealed in Mecca after Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat) before The Cave (Al-Kahf)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
Has there reached you the report of the Overwhelming [event]? 1 On that day the faces of some people will be humbly cast down, 2 Labouring, wearied out, 3 They will enter in the hot blazing Fire, 4 Given water from the boiling spring to drink. 5 they shall have no food but thorns, 6 unfattening, unappeasing hunger. 7 (Other) faces on that day shall be happy, 8 well-pleased with their striving. 9 In an elevated garden, 10 wherein they shall hear no vain talk. 11 Therein shall be a spring running! 12 Therein will be Thrones (of dignity), raised on high, 13 and goblets set at hand, 14 and arranged cushions 15 and carpets spread out. 16 Do they never reflect on the camels and how they were created, 17 And how the heaven was raised up, 18 And the hills, how they are set up? 19 And the earth: how it was spread out? 20 Therefore advise; indeed you are a proclaimer of advice. (The Holy Prophet is a Remembrance from Allah.) 21 Thou art not over them a warden. 22 But if any turn away and reject Allah,- 23 Then Allah will punish him with the greatest punishment. 24 Certainly, it is to Us that they will return. 25 and verily, It is for Us to call them to account. 26

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
