The Night (Al-Layl)
21 verses, revealed in Mecca after The All High (Al-A'alaa) before Dawn (Al-Fajr)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
By the night when it covers the day, 1 by the day when it appears radiant, 2 By Him Who hath created the male and the female, 3 Verily, (the ends) ye strive for are diverse. 4 As for him who giveth and is dutiful (toward Allah) 5 And believes in Al-Husna. 6 for him shall We make easy the path towards [ultimate] ease. 7 But as for him who is niggardly, and thinks that he is self-sufficient, 8 and he belied the finest 9 for him shall We make easy the path towards hardship: 10 And what will his wealth benefit him when he goes down (in destruction). 11 Surely it is for Us to show the Right Way, 12 and, behold, Ours is [the dominion over] the life to come as well as [over] this earlier part [of your life]: 13 Therefore I warn you of the fire that flames: 14 [the fire] which none shall have to endure but that most hapless wretch 15 who gives the lie to the truth and turns away [from it]. 16 Far removed from it will be the righteous 17 even he who gives his wealth. to purify himself 18 And who hath no favour from anyone to recompense. 19 but only to seek the good pleasure of his Lord Most High. 20 And soon will they attain (complete) satisfaction. 21
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
