Al-Hummazah
The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)
9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
Woe to every backbiter, slanderer 1 Who amasses wealth and hordes it. 2 thinking that his wealth will make him live forever. 3 Nay! Verily, he will be thrown into the crushing Fire. 4 What shall let you know what the Crusher is? 5 It is the fire of Allah, [eternally] fueled, 6 Which leaps up over the hearts, 7 (And) vaults them over 8 In extended columns. 9
God the Almighty always says the truth.
