The News (Al-Naba')
40 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Heights (Al-Ma'aarej) before The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
۞ What are they asking (one another)? 1 Of the mighty Announcement, 2 whereupon they are at variance? 3 Surely yes, they will soon come to know! 4 Verily, verily they shall soon (come to) know! 5 Have We not made the earth as a wide expanse, 6 and the mountains as pegs? 7 And We have created you in pairs. 8 And We have made your sleep as a rest. 9 And We have made the night a covering. 10 And made the day for seeking livelihood. 11 And We have built above you seven strong (heavens), 12 And placed a lamp therein brightly burning. 13 From the rain clouds We send waters pouring down in abundance, 14 Thereby to produce grain and plant, 15 and gardens dense with follage. 16 Indeed, the Day of Judgement is an appointed time - 17 The day the trumpet blast is sounded you will come in hordes; 18 And the heaven is opened and becometh as gates, 19 And the hills are set in motion and become as a mirage. 20 Lo! hell lurketh in ambush, 21 The destination of the rebellious. 22 Where they will remain for aeons, 23 and where they will taste neither coolness nor any drink 24 save boiling water and a stinking fluid -- 25 Requital corresponding. 26 Verily they were wont not to look for a reckoning. 27 And denied Our verses with [emphatic] denial. 28 Everything have We recorded in a Book. 29 So taste you (the results of your evil actions); no increase shall We give you, except in torment. 30

Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
توجد تمارين تحفيظ للوضعين العربي الأصلي والعربي المخطوط بأحرف إنجليزية فقط. ولا تحتوي الترجمة الإنجليزية على تمارين حفظ.
There are memorization exercises for the original Arabic and English transliterated Arabic modes only. The English translation mode has no memorization exercises.
