And certainly did the companions of Thamud deny the messengers. 80 We sent them Our Signs, but they persisted in turning away from them. 81 And they used to hew out dwellings from the hills, (wherein they dwelt) secure. 82 and so the blast [of Our punishment] overtook them at early morn, 83 And what they earned did not avail them. 84 We created not the heavens and the earth and all that is between them save with truth, and lo! the Hour is surely coming. So forgive, (O Muhammad), with a gracious forgiveness. 85 Indeed, your Lord - He is the Knowing Creator. 86 We have given you the seven dual (verses, Al Fatihah) and the Mighty Holy Reading (Koran). 87 Do not stretch your eyes to that We have given pairs of them to enjoy, nor sorrow for them, and lower your wing to the believers. 88 And say, "Indeed, I am the clear warner" - 89 (We have given you the Quran) as We had given (the Bible) to those who divided themselves into groups 90 who have broken the Koran into parts, 91 By your Lord We shall question them one and all 92 For all that they used to do. 93 Preach what you have been commanded to and stay away from the pagans. 94 We suffice you against those who mock, 95 even against those who set up with God another god. Certainly they will soon know! 96 And well do We know that thy bosom is constricted by the [blasphemous] things that they say: 97 So hallow thou the praise of thy Lord, and be thou of the prostrate. 98 Worship your Lord till the certainty (death) comes to you. 99
