Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
۞ When the heaven is split asunder, 1 and when the stars are scattered, 2 the oceans are merged together, 3 And when the graves are laid open, 4 the soul shall know what it has done, the former and the latter. 5 O man, what seduced you from your munificent Lord 6 who created you, fashioned you and proportioned you, 7 In whatever form He willed, He put you together. 8 Rather, you belied the Recompense. 9 Verify there are for you guardians, 10 Kiraman (honourable) Katibin writing down (your deeds). 11 Who know what you do. 12 The pious will surely be in heaven, 13 and the wicked shall be in the Blazing Fire. 14 They shall enter it on the Day of Recompense 15 and from which they will find no escape. 16 They will never be able to escape from it. Would that you knew what the Day of Judgment is! 17 And once again: What could make thee conceive what that Judgment Day will be? 18 It is the day when no soul will have power to do the least for a soul, and God's alone will be done. 19
