Hizb 46
< random >
And Yunus was most surely of the apostles. 139 [Mention] when he ran away to the laden ship. 140 and cast lots, and was of the rebutted, 141 And a fish swallowed him, and he was reproaching himself. 142 And had he not been one of those who glorify (Allah) 143 He would certainly have remained inside the Fish till the Day of Resurrection. 144 ۞ But We caused him to be cast forth on to the beach, sick as he was, 145 and caused a creeping plant to grow over him [out of the barren soil]. 146 And We had sent him to a hundred thousand: rather they exceeded. 147 So they accepted faith We therefore gave them usage for a while. 148 Now ask them whether your Lord has daughters, whereas they have sons. 149 Or did We create the angels as females while they were witnesses?" 150 Is it not that they say, from their own invention, 151 'God has begotten a son.' They are certainly liars. 152 Has He chosen daughters over sons? 153 What is [wrong] with you? How do you make judgement? 154 Why do you not reflect? 155 Or, do you have a clear authority? 156 Bring your Book, if you are truthful. 157 And they have invented a blood-relationship between Him and the Jinns: but the Jinns know (quite well) that they have indeed to appear (before his Judgment-Seat)! 158 Exalted is Allah above what they describe, 159 Except the chosen bondmen of Allah. 160 So you and your deities 161 You cannot make anyone rebel against Him. 162 Save him Who is to roast in the Flaming Fire. 163 Of us there is none but hath a station assigned. 164 And most surely we are they who draw themselves out in ranks, 165 and, verily, we too extol His limitless glory!" 166 And indeed the disbelievers used to say, 167 “If we had some advice from the earlier generations,” 168 “We would certainly be the chosen bondmen of Allah.” 169 Yet now (that it has come) they refuse to believe in it; but they will come to know soon. 170 And, verily, Our Word has gone forth of old for Our slaves, the Messengers, 171 That undoubtedly, only they will be helped. 172 And verily Our host! they are to be overcome. 173 So turn away (O Muhammad SAW) from them for a while, 174 And wait; they will come to know soon. 175 Would they hasten on Our doom? 176 When it lights in their courtyard, how evil will be the morning of them that are warned! 177 So turn (away) from them for a while, 178 And watch (how they fare) and they soon shall see (how thou farest)! 179 Your Lord, the Lord of Honor, is too exalted to be considered as they describe Him. 180 And peace be unto the sent ones. 181 And Praise to Allah, the Lord and Cherisher of the Worlds. 182
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
End of Surah: The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat). Sent down in Mecca after Animals (Al-An 'aam) before Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
