Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
By the scatterers (the wind) scattering, 1 And those [clouds] carrying a load [of water] 2 And those that glide with ease (upon the sea) 3 then by the distributors (angels), ordered; 4 indeed, that which you are promised is true, 5 and the recompense shall surely happen. 6 By the heaven with its numerous forms: 7 You are indeed in different opinions regarding this Qur’an. 8 and perverted therefrom are some. 9 Slain be those who mould from their imaginations. 10 Who are lost in deception. 11 they who [mockingly] ask, "When is that Day of Judgment to be?" 12 The day they will be burnt in the Fire, 13 "Taste your trial. This is what you sought to hasten." 14 Indeed, the righteous will be among gardens and springs, 15 Taking that which their Lord giveth them; for lo! aforetime they were doers of good; 16 Little of the night would they slumber, 17 And in the hours before dawn, they were (found) asking (Allah) for forgiveness, 18 And in their property was a portion due to him who begs and to him who is denied (good). 19 In the earth are signs for those having sure faith; 20 As also in your own selves: Will ye not then see? 21 And in the heaven is your provision, and that which you are promised. 22 Then, by the Lord of heaven and earth, this is the very Truth, as much as the fact that ye can speak intelligently to each other. 23
