Al-Qamar 3 of 3
And warnings came in truth unto the house of Pharaoh 41 Who denied Our revelations, every one. Therefore We grasped them with the grasp of the Mighty, the Powerful. 42 Are your Unbelievers, (O Quraish), better than they? Or have ye an immunity in the Sacred Books? 43 Or do they say: “We are a strong legion, strong enough for victory?” 44 Certainly the host shall be routed, and turn their backs. 45 In fact their promise is upon the Last Day – and the Last Day is very severe and very bitter! 46 The sinful ones will face the destructive torment of hell 47 On the day when they shall be dragged upon their faces into the fire; taste the touch of hell. 48 We have created everything in a determined measure. 49 and Our ordaining [a thing and its coming into being] is but one [act,] like the twinkling of an eye. 50 And We have indeed destroyed your kind, so is there one who would ponder? 51 All their deeds are in the Scrolls, 52 and everything [that man does,] be it small or great, is recorded [with God]. 53 Verily, The Muttaqun (pious), will be in the midst of Gardens and Rivers (Paradise). 54 At the still centre in the proximity of the King all-powerful. 55
