The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
By oath of the heaven which contains the constellations. 1 and [then bethink thyself of] the promised Day, 2 And the bearer of witness and those against whom the witness is borne. 3 Cursed were the people of the ditch (the story of the Boy and the King). 4 Of fire fuel-fed, 5 When they sat by it 6 And they were witnesses of what they did with the believers. 7 The only reason for which they tormented the believers was the latter's belief in God, the Majestic, and Praiseworthy. 8 Him, Whose is the dominion of heavens and the earth. And Allah is over everything a Witness. 9 Those who persecuted the believing men and women and never repented, there is for them the punishment of Gehenna (Hell), and for them the punishment of the burning. 10 Surely (as for) those who believe and do good, they shall have gardens beneath which rivers flow, that is the great achievement. 11 The vengeance of God is terribly severe. 12 Behold, it is He who creates [man] in the first instance, and He [it is who] will bring him forth anew. 13 And He is the Forgiving, the Loving, 14 Lord of the Arsh, the Glorious, 15 The Doer of whatever He wants. 16 Has the story reached thee, of the forces- 17 Of Firon and Samood? 18 Yet the infidels persist in denial. 19 And Allah encompasses them on every side. 20 Nay, this is a Glorious Qur'an, 21 (Inscribed) in a Tablet Preserved! 22
