The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ The believers have indeed attained true success: 1 Who are humble in their service, 2 And who keep aloof from what is vain, 3 and who are intent on inner purity; 4 who guard their privates, 5 Except with those joined to them in the marriage bond, or (the captives) whom their right hands possess,- for (in their case) they are free from blame, 6 But whoever seeks beyond that, then those are the transgressors; 7 And who are shepherds of their pledge and their covenant, 8 And who guard their prayers. 9 These are the real gainers, 10 Heirs of Paradise, they shall abide in it forever. 11 And indeed We created man (Adam) out of an extract of clay (water and earth). 12 then We set him, a drop, in a receptacle secure, 13 Then We created of the drop, a clot (of congealed blood) and We created the clot into bitesize tissue, then We created the bitesize tissue into bones, then We clothed the bones with flesh, and then produced it an other creation. Blessed is Allah, the Best of creators! 14 Thereafter you are destined to die, 15 Then verily on the Day of Judgment ye shall be raised up. 16 We made several highways one over the other above you. We are not neglectful of creation. 17 We sent down water from the sky in due measure, and lodged it in the earth, and We are able to take it all away. 18 We have produced palm-groves and vineyards for you, in which there are abundant fruits for you; and you eat these, 19 And also a tree that springeth forth from mount Sinai, that groweth oil and is a sauce for the eaters. 20 And surely in the cattle there is a lesson for you; We give you to drink of what is in their bellies, and many uses there are in them for you, and of them you eat; 21 And on them and on the ships you are borne. 22
