Say, [O Muhammad], "I am only a warner, and there is not any deity except Allah, the One, the Prevailing. 65 "The Lord of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them, the All-Mighty, the Oft-Forgiving." 66 Say thou: it is a tiding mighty. 67 from which you are turning away. 68 “What did I know of the heavenly world, when the angels had disputed.” 69 "Only this has been inspired to me, that I am a plain warner." 70 Behold, thy Lord said to the angels: "I am about to create man from clay: 71 and when I give it proper shape and blow My spirit into it, bow down in prostration to him," 72 Then the angels bowed before him in a body, 73 except Iblis. He waxed proud and became one of the unbelievers. 74 The Lord said: “O Iblis, what prevented you from prostrating yourself before him whom I created of My Two Hands. Are you waxing proud, or fancy yourself to be too exalted?” 75 [Iblis (Satan)] said: "I am better than he, You created me from fire, and You created him from clay." 76 The Lord said, "Get out of here. You deserve to be stoned! 77 My condemnation will be with you until the Day of Judgment!" 78 He said: My Lord! Reprieve me till the day when they are raised. 79 He (Allah) said: 'You are among those that are respited 80 "Till the Day of the Time Appointed." 81 He said: by Thy majesty, then, I shall surely seduce them, all. 82 Save Thy single-minded slaves among them. 83 (Allah) said: "The Truth is, and the Truth I say, 84 that I shall certainly fill hell with you and your followers all together". 85 (O Prophet), tell them: “I do not ask you for any recompense for the performance of this task; nor am I given to affectation. 86 This [divine writ,] behold, is no less than a reminder to all the worlds — 87 “And you will come to know of its tidings, after a while.” 88
