۞ And when the son of Mary is quoted as an example, behold! the folk laugh out, 57 "Are our gods any better than Jesus (for according to Muhammad), if our gods go to hell so too will Jesus. What they say is only a false argument. In fact, they are a quarrelsome people. 58 He is only a servant We blessed, and We made him to be an example to the Children of Israel. 59 If We pleased We could have put angels in place of you as trustees on the earth. 60 And (Jesus) shall be a Sign (for the coming of) the Hour (of Judgment): therefore have no doubt about the (Hour), but follow ye Me: this is a Straight Way. 61 And let not the Shaitan prevent you; surely he is your open enemy. 62 And when Jesus came with the clear signs he said, 'I have come to you with wisdom, and that I may make clear to you some of that whereon you are at variance; so fear you God and obey you me. 63 God is your Lord and my Lord, so worship Him. This is the right path". 64 But the parties among them fell into variance; so woe unto those who did evil, because of the chastisement of a painful day. 65 Do they only wait for the Hour that it shall come upon them suddenly, while they perceive not? 66 Friends on that day shall be foes to one another, but the god-fearing. 67
