[O Men!] Are you more difficult to create than the heaven which He has built, 27 High has He reared its vault and formed it in accordance with what it was meant to be; 28 Its night doth He endow with darkness, and its splendour doth He bring out (with light). 29 After this, He spread out the earth, 30 He draweth out therefrom its moisture and its pasture; 31 And He made fast the hills, 32 In order to benefit you and your cattle. 33 On the day when the great calamity comes, 34 on the Day that man remembers what he strove for 35 And Hell-Fire shall be placed in full view for (all) to see,- 36 For, unto him who shall have transgressed the bounds of what is right, 37 and preferred the life of this world [to the good of his soul,] 38 Lo! hell will be his home. 39 But unto him who shall have stood in fear of his Sustainer's Presence, and held back his inner self from base desires, 40 Will surely have Paradise for abode. 41 They ask thee about the Hour,-'When will be its appointed time? 42 You have no knowledge to say anything about it, 43 Towards your Lord only is its conclusion. 44 Thou art but a warner unto him who feareth. 45 On the Day when they behold it, it will be as if they had lingered but an evening, or, a morning. 46
